Youth Classes - Class Descriptions

Break Away's professional staff is expert in the fields of education and character development. The staff is committed to teach sportsmanship while instructing the skills necessary to enjoy the game of soccer.


Players of all ages learn soccer basics which include ball control, passing, and teamwork. Classes focus on developing soccer skills with an emphasis on sportsmanship and fair-play, and helping to build self-esteem in a fun and nurturing soccer environment. Our class format offers options in days, skill levels and overlapping age groups for a better fit for each participant and their family schedule.

Kittens (ages 2-3) - Parents Participate

Activities introduced through guided free play geared for motor skill development and social fun while building self-esteem. Final 2 weeks are for parent facilitated free play and exploration. (30 min)

Lion Cubs (ages 2-4)

Parent/guardian must be present for emotional support (Age 2- Parent participates). Continuing emphasis of exercise, soccer and socializing skills through fun games. (30 min)

Lynx (ages 4-6)

Introducing low level competition with fun games. Individual soccer techniques and team cooperation introduced. Finish with competition. (45 min)

Bobcats (ages 6-8)

Next stage: focus on individual skills and simple game decisions. Introduction of small-sided team tactics. Classes finish with a scrimmage. (45 min)

Youth Classes - Days, Times and Pricing

  • Summer I    June 7 - July 7 (5 wks)
  • Summer II   July 12 - August 11 (5 wks)

*Additional $10 late fee when registering within 2 weeks of session start date*




Break Away will be offering some COVID friendly classes in accordance with county, state and federal guidelines and mandates. This will include:

  • Limited enrollment for each of our classes

  • Physical distancing between, staff, customers and participant’s when off the field

  • A properly worn mask as required by any of the government orders

  • Each class will be scheduled with a gap start to allow for physical distancing while entering and exiting our facility

  • Spectators limited to one/participant. Each must properly wear a mask and maintain at least 6 feet physical distance from others
