Break Away's professional staff is expert in the fields of education and character development. The staff is committed to teach sportsmanship while instructing the skills necessary to enjoy the game of soccer.

Players of all ages learn soccer basics which include ball control, passing, and teamwork. Classes focus on developing soccer skills with an emphasis on sportsmanship and fair-play, and helping to build self-esteem in a fun and nurturing soccer environment. Our class format offers options in days, skill levels and overlapping age groups for a better fit for each participant and their family schedule.

  • Winter A (WA) Oct 29 - Dec 19 (8 weeks, no class on 10/31)

  • Winter B (WB) Jan 7 - Feb 27 (8 weeks)

  • Winter C (WC) March 4 - April 10 (6 weeks, no Lynx 4 in WC)

  • Spring April 15 - May 22  (6 weeks, no Lynx 4 in Spring)

Class Descriptions

Kittens (ages 2-4)

8 weeks - Parents participate - Activities introduced through guided free play geared for motor skill development and social fun while building self-esteem. Final 2 weeks are for parent facilitated free play and exploration.

Lion Cubs (ages 3-4)

Parent/guardian must be present for emotional support. Continuing emphasis of exercise, soccer and socializing skills through fun games.

Lynx (ages 4-6)

Introducing low level competition with fun games. Individual soccer techniques and team cooperation introduced. Finish with competition.

Bobcats (ages 6-8)

Next stage: focus on individual skills and simple game decisions. Introduction of small-sided team tactics. Classes finish with a scrimmage.
